GALESBURG, IL - The Prairie Fire women's soccer team dropped a conference match to Lake Forest College 5-0 Saturday afternoon.

The Foresters scored their first goal in minute 20, and continued to score two more giving them a 3-0 lead by the end of the first half. 

Lake Forest managed to score two more goals in the second half, giving them a 5-0 victory over the Prairie Fire. 

Lake Forest outshot the Prairie Fire 13-2 overall, including a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal. Aleene Ramirez and Isabella Shubert tallied one shot each.

"Not exactly the outcome we were hoping for today, but we will always take it as an opportunity for us to get better" said head coach Annie Gerdes. "We have some tough conference games coming up, and with that we will continue to push ourselves and when we do we will continue to see progress as we have been seeing all season."

The Prairie Fire will travel to Jacksonville on October 4th for a match against Illinois College.
