GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's soccer team earned a 4-0 shutout over Augustana on Wednesday afternoon.

The score was still tied 0-0 at halftime, but Knox scored early in the second half when Apostolos Karambepris found the back of the net.

Adrian Segura found Juan Perez Mejia in the 62nd minute to give the Prairie Fire their second goal of the game. Segura then scored a goal of his own on a penalty kick with just over 12 minutes to play.

Thanuwat Kraiwan scored on a breakaway in the 85th minute making a great move to beat the goalie.

Nicolas Lantzendorffer earned his first clean sheet of the season in goal for Knox.

"This was a great team win," said head coach Kevwe Akpore. "We had some difficulty getting things going in the first half, but we regrouped after halftime to really turn it on. We showed some great fire today."

The Prairie Fire will return to action on September 8 as they host Blackburn.
