SAINT LOUIS, Missouri - The Prairie Fire women's basketball team dropped an exhibition game to Saint Louis University (SLU) 119-42 on Saturday night.
The first quarter started with a lot of back and forth between the two teams, with an early, even 8-8 score. The Billikens pulled away leading the Prairie Fire 28-17 at the end of the first quarter.
Knox attempted the close the gap in the second quarter, as SLU continued to increase their lead. SLU led 60-27 going into the half.
SLU came out in the second half with a 18-0 run, pulling away further and ultimately earning the victory.
Nyah Daniels and Kylee Callahan led the Prairie Fire with 13 point each. Bria Medina added 10 points.
"This was an amazing opportunity for the team" said Head Coach Seth McDowell. "It's always cool to be able to play a higher level team, and I am happy that we got to end our season with one last game, especially at a place like SLU."
This exhibition game has concluded the 2023-2024 season for the women's Prairie Fire basketball team.
