In the opener, Knox fell to Salem State 8-0. Salem State struck early, scoring four runs in both the first and second innings, then held Knox scoreless for the remainder of the game.

Meanwhile, Kara Burwell led the Prairie Fire with a pair of hits. Maddie Hicks, Chelsea McKee, and Janet Lentini each contributed one hit.

In the second game, Knox faced an explosive Westminster squad. Building on their earlier defeat, Knox encountered a strong start from Westminster, which opened the game with three runs in the first inning and two in the second. Westminster tacked on five more runs in the fifth to break open the game. 

Looking ahead, Knox is off on Friday, but resumes play in Florida on Saturday against Union College and Trinity College, looking to bounce back and build momentum for the rest of their trip.
