Prairie Fire Drop Two at Lake Forest

The Knox softball team dropped a pair of contests on Saturday, falling at Lake Forest 11-3 and 18-1. The Prairie Fire are next in action on Sunday, visiting Beloit for two. 

In the opener, Lake Forest led 11-0 before the Prairie Fire (5-15, 0-4) scored three in the fifth inning. Brenlie Bartlett and Kara Burwell each had RBI walks to score Knox runs. 

In the second game, Lake Forest opened with eight runs in the first and expanded the lead to 18-0. In the fifth, Knox broke through as Kylie Thomson doubled home Taylor Goudschaal for the lone run.
