GALESBURG, IL - The Prairie Fire took on the Maroons at the Knosher Bowl, and UChicago was able to take advantage of big plays on their way to a 48-0 victory over Knox.

Jalen Brown was all over the field throughout the contest as he racked up 13 total tackles and got one pass break up, making plays on both sidelines and in between the tackles.

The defense was able to make a couple key plays throughout the course of the game as they forced two fumbles that flipped the field for Knox's offense in the second half. Ethan Strutzel and Chris Ross both forced them.

Offensively, Knox was able to move the ball while their triple option and power runs, but struggled to make gains in the passing game on critical third downs.Â

Marcus Carter took advantage of a relaxed Maroons defense when he broke loose for a 51 yard reception, but Knox was unable to get points out of it.

The Maroons scored on four 30-plus yard plays, including two over 60 yards on their way to a 48-0 win over the Prairie Fire.

Knox was able to find success in spurts against the Maroons, but were unable to capitalize and finish their drives.

The Prairie Fire have quite some time before competing at the Knosher Bowl again, but they will take on Grinnell next Saturday at their place at 1:00 p.m.
