FRANKLIN, IN - In a low scoring contest, Knox's defense kept Franklin at bay, allowing nine shots on goal with two finding the back of the net in a 2-0 loss on the road.

Knox has been tested early in the 2026 campaign with tough opponents, like Webster and Millikin.The non-conference portion of the season has featured high powered offenses with good tactics and athletic forwards. The Prairie Fire have been up to the test, despite a few lapses in play, making it tough for opposing teams to score.

Bri Mahoney has had a tremendous start to the season, tallying 26 saves including seven against Franklin.

Franklin was able to scratch across a goal in each half of play in the afternoon bout, and they were able to keep Knox off the scoreboard.Â

The Prairie Fire took a season high 14 shots, but just couldn't get one past the keeper. Knox took nine corner kicks in the afternoon.

Knox will get a short break before their next contest on Wednesday night at Aurora at 5:00 p.m.
