Played in all 10 games and provided 28 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception … opened the season with four stops in the 7-6 win over Eureka in the Lincoln Bowl … provided a highlight at Lake Forest by recording his first career interception, giving Knox the ball in Forester territory … dropped a season-high six Grinnell ball carriers and forced a fumble against the Pioneers as well.
2023
Made 13 tackles while playing in nine of the 10 games … dropped a Cornell ball carrier for an 8-yard loss … had a season-best three stops versus Monmouth.
2022
Fourth on the squad in TFL (4.0) and sixth in tackles (31) while playing in all 10 games … recorded a season-high seven stops against Chicago and Cornell College … two of those tackles against Cornell went for a loss.
2021
Played in all nine games and was second on the team with 3.0 sacks and fourth in tackles (43) and tackles for a loss (5.5) … posted season highs with 10 tackles, 1.5 TFL and two pass breakups in a tough 27-20 defeat against Illinois College … registered sacks against Chicago, Grinnell and Lawrence.
2020
No season due to COVID-19 pandemic.
HIGH SCHOOL
Earned four varsity letters with the football team at Sonora High School … collected 112 tackles as a senior, earning first-team all-league honors.
PERSONAL
Son of Thomas Garcia and Lora Garcia has three brothers, Thomas, Ethan and Elijah … born on Nov. 7, 2001 … minoring in psychology of coaching … desires to be a college coach after graduation … came to Knox to continue playing the sport he loves and get a good education … enjoys video games, the beach and traveling … once caught a home run at an Angels game and was shown on TV.
