Knox College Prairie Fire

Patrick Haynes rejoined the Prairie Fire football staff in March 2020 after a year as defensive coordinator at Carroll College. The Saints finished second place in the Frontier Conference with a top 25 ranking in the final NAIA Football Coaches Poll. Under the direction of Haynes, four players earned All-Frontier Conference honors. 

Haynes previously coached at Knox during the 2018 season after working as special teams coordinator and defensive backs at the University of Mary in 2017.

Haynes' will be the defensive coordinator with a focus on defensive backs for the Prairie Fire.

Haynes has previously worked as the special teams coordinator, recruiting coordinator, and defensive backs coach at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, a stop that will prove very valuable in working at Knox. Other stops include University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Black Hills State. UW - Oshkosh finished 13-1 and advanced to the D-III National Semi-Final in 2012. That year Haynes coached one All-American corner.  
 
Haynes earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Services from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2013 and a master's degree in Strategic Leadership from Black Hills State University in 2015. Haynes is a native of Pardeeville, Wisconsin.
