Knox College Prairie Fire

Vaughn Johnson coaches the Prairie Fire football team's outside linebackers in 2014, his second year on the Knox staff and fourth year of coaching football overall.  He previously spent two seasons at his alma mater, Husson University in Bangor, Maine.

Johnson, a native of New Haven, Connecticut, coached NCAA Division III Husson's defensive backs in 2011 and was the outside linebackers coach for the Eagles in 2012. 

On the field, Johnson played in the secondary and on special teams, earning three letters at Husson University.  He helped the Eagles to a 7-3 record, the best in school history, and a first-ever appearance in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Bowl during the 2008 season.

Johnson earned his undergraduate degree in business administration.  He lives in Galesburg with his dog Kongo.
