Ian Brophy joined the Knox Women’s Soccer coaching staff in the summer of 2016 as an assistant coach.
 
Brophy served as an assistant coach for both women’s and men’s soccer at Treasure Valley Community College from 2014-2015 helping the Chukars host their first ever women’s soccer home conference playoff game while setting single season records for wins in 2014 with a 16-3-3 record. Treasure Valley also made its first ever appearance in the NWAC quarterfinals in 2014. TVCC Women’s Soccer ended the 2015 season on a school record 8 game unbeaten run and returned to the NWAC playoffs with a record of 12-6-2.
 
While at Treasure Valley, Brophy served the program in a variety of areas, including recruiting, opposition scouting, clinics, training plans, video analysis, and travel coordination. He recruited and coached players that have gone on to play in the WPSL, NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, and NAIA.
 
In 2016 Coach Brophy also served as Assistant Director of Soccer at YALLA in San Diego, CA. An organization that uses soccer combined with academic programs to help refugee and immigrant youth rebuild their lives and get into college.

A native of Miami, FL., Brophy earned a bachelor of Science degree from Emerson College in 2012 in Journalism. He holds a USSF National D Coaching License and has been a head coach at the middle school, high school, and competitive club levels.
