Augustana College scored less than four minutes into the match against Knox College and rolled, winning an 8-0 non-conference contest Tuesday night in Rock Island, Illinois.

John McSpadden scored the first of his three goals at the 3:50 mark of the match.  He added another 37 seconds later and his third at the 78:11 mark.  Anthony Adeniran also scored twice, both of his goals with more than 45 minutes into the match.

The Prairie Fire (2-9-1) managed just two total shots, both of them on goal, resulting in a pair of saves for Vikings' goalie Steven Zahrobsky.

Augie (4-6-1) got off 31 shots - 15 in the first 45 minutes and 16 over the last half of the match - and 13 of those shots were on goal.  Fire goalie, sophomore Robert Porter (Tucson, Arizona) recorded five saves.

Next up for Knox is a Midwest Conference match at Illinois College on Saturday in Jacksonville, Illinois.  The Blueboys are 2-11 overall and winless in four conference matches.  The Prairie Fire also are seeking a league victory, going into the match with an 0-3 mark in MWC play.

The men's match begins at 1:30 p.m. after the Knox women's team plays the Lady Blues at 11:00 a.m.
