Volleyball Team Ends Season with Victory

The Prairie Fire came back after dropping the first set to win 3-1 Saturday in the season finale at Robert Morris University - Peoria.

Knox concluded the 2011 campaign with two straight victories -- the prior win a 3-0 triumph against Eureka College on Senior and Parents Night October 27 at Memorial Gym.

Robert Morris won the opening set 25-23.  Knox responded by taking the next three 25-17, 25-18, 25-21.

Senior Kelly Ricketts (Galesburg, Illinois) had 13 kills, three aces, eight digs and three blocks in her last match for the Prairie Fire. 

Sophomore Kaylie Prince (Westminster, Colorado) added nine kills, two aces and nine digs.  Senior Lisa Blagg (Winthrop Harbor, Illinois) led the team with a season-high 19 digs.  Fellow senior Stef Baker (Galesburg, Illinois) contributed three kills, three solo blocks, and assisted on a block while sophomore Nina Mack (Algonquin, Illinois) paced the Fire with 17 assists.
