Women's Soccer Shut Out at Culver-Stockton

The Prairie Fire's offense was held in check by Culver-Stockton College, which won 7-0 September 10 at Ayers Field in Canton, Missouri.

The victory was the first of the season for the Wildcats (1-2-1) and it snapped a two-match winning streak for Knox (2-2).

The Prairie Fire managed just four shots overall and none on goal.  C-SC outshot Knox 15-1 in the first half and 33-4 overall.  Senior Emily Turner (Kildeer, Illinois) had 16 saves in goal for Knox.

The Wildcats scored the first goal of the match at the 3:04 mark.  C-SC scored three more times in the first half to take a commanding 4-0 lead after 90:00.

Junior Arielle Dorman (Bothell, Washington), who had scored four goals in her last two matches, was held scoreless.  She took all four of the Prairie Fire's shots in the match, including her team's only shot on goal.

Katie MacBride assisted on Culver-Stockton's first three goals of the match.  She also scored a goal and finished with four assists.

The Prairie Fire returns to Jorge Prats Field September 13 for the second home match of the season.  Concordia University - Chicago (2-1) visits for a non-conference contest that is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
