The Norse downed Knox 25-12, 25-8, 25-16 in the Prairie Fire's first match of the tournament.
Knox managed 12 kills in the match -- including three each by senior Kelly Ricketts (Galesburg, Illinois, Galesburg), junior Kristin McDonald (Chicago, Illinois, Regina Dominican), and sophomore Kaylie Prince (Westminster, CO, Standley Lake).
Senior Lisa Blagg (Winthrop Harbor, IL, Zion Benton) led Knox with nine assists and junior Brittany Wisniewski (Park Ridge, Illinois, Maine South) had 10 digs.

The Inferno defeated Knox 25-15, 25-15, 25-12 in the second match of the day for the Prairie Fire.
Knox had 12 team kills for the second straight match. Ricketts and McDonald led with three apiece. Blagg paced the Fire with seven assists followed by McDonald with five. Wisniewski had a team-high 15 digs.

The Storm beat Knox 25-10, 25-23, 25-14 in the fourth match of the tournament for the Fire -- and first on Saturday.
Ricketts had her strongest hitting game of the tournament with eight kills and a .600 percentage. She also recorded six digs. McDonald was next with five kills to go with seven assists and three digs.
Blagg tied McDonald for team-high honors with seven assists. Wisniewski again led the way with 13 digs followed by Prince with nine. First-year hitter Katie White (Peoria, IL, Notre Dame) had two solo blocks and assisted on two others.

The Warriors won a close opening set, 25-23, then completed the sweep 25-4, 25-17.
Ricketts put down seven kills while McDonald and Prince added five apiece. McDonald added a team-high 11 assists, followed by Blagg with nine.
White had a solo block and assisted on another for the Fire. Prince had her team's other block assist.

NOTES
McDonald received an honor for the Prairie Fire. The hitter was named to the Luther College All-Tournament Team.
Luther won the tournament with a 4-0 record. Simpson went 3-1, Waldorf 2-2, and Alverno 1-3.
