Dubuque, IA – The Prairie Fire earned its third win of the season by defeating Loras College 8-1 on Saturday in non-conference play.

Senior Erik Hane (Littleton, CO, Mullen) won his #1 singles match 6-2, 6-0 and teamed up with first-year player Walter Palmer (Wilmette, IL, New Trier) for an 8-3 #1 doubles victory against the Duhawks.

The Prairie Fire swept the doubles competition.  The #2 team of junior David Ham (Lakewood, WA, Shadow Ridge) and first-year Jonathan Ng (Hong Kong, China) won 8-5 while sophomore Max Gaytas (Plymouth, WI, Plymouth) and junior Shaun Mulani (Bourbonnais, IL, Bradley-Bourbannais) posted an 8-2 victory in the #3 flight.

Also winning singles matches for Knox (3-2) were Mulani 3-6, 6-0, 10-4 at #3, Ham 8-3 at #4, Palmer 6-1, 6-3 at #5, and Gatyas 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 at #6.

Knox returns to the court on March 3 against St. Norbert College.  The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00.
