Waukesha, WI – Carroll University downed the Prairie Fire 3-1 in Midwest Conference play on Saturday.
The Pioneers won the first set 25-7. Knox made a big turnaround by taking the second set 25-12 before Carroll claimed back to back sets 25-9 and 25-17 to win the match.
The Prairie Fire had 12 kills in the second set and a .500 hitting percentage compared to nine kills and a .154 percentage for the Pioneers.Â
Carroll (15-10, 5-1 MWC) is tied for second place in the Midwest Conference standings with Ripon College.

Kaylie Prince (Westminster, CO, Standley Lake) and first-year hitter
Lauren Metcalf (Corona, CA, Centennial) each had seven kills for Knox. Prince also tallied eight digs while Metcalf recorded a solo block and assisted on another.Â

The Prairie Fire (3-19, 1-6 MWC) play three straight home matches to close out the regular season.
St. Norbert College visits Memorial Gym to play Knox on October 25 at 7:00 p.m.Â
The Green Knights (10-14, 4-2 MWC) have won three straight matches and four of their last five. The last SNC victory was 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-22) at home against Lake Forest College on October 19.
