Lake Forest, IL – The Prairie Fire lost to Lake Forest College in a Midwest Conference road match on Friday night.

The Foresters defeated the Prairie Fire 3-0 for their first conference win of the season.  Knox (3-14, 1-2 MWC) has lost two straight in league play after opening with a 3-1 win at Illinois College on September 24.

Lake Forest (7-11, 1-1 MWC) posted set victories of 25-21, 25-12, and 25-11 for their second win in a row after falling in their first conference match 3-0 at home against Ripon College on September 27.

Senior Kaylie Prince (Westminster, CO, Standley Lake) put down nine kills to go along with a service ace, an assist, and two digs for the Prairie Fire.

Sophomore Casey Stachelski (Joliet, IL, Plainfield Central) had 17 assists and 13 digs.  Senior Amber Eisha (South Wilmington, IL, Gardner-South Wilmington) added five kills, an ace, and four digs and first-year Madison Pierro (La Jolla, CA, Tri City Christian School) tallied 11 digs.

Knox is back in action for another Midwest Conference match at Beloit College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.  The Buccaneers (4-9, 0-1 MWC) lost their first league contest of the season 3-0 against Monmouth College at home on Friday.
