Monmouth, Ill. – The Prairie Fire women's and men's teams combined for six new entries in the record books at the Fighting Scot Invitational hosted by Monmouth College on Saturday.

Knox was one of the nearly 20 schools taking part in the unscored meet that included Midwest Conference members Monmouth, Illinois College, St. Norbert College, and Carroll University.  There were also NCAA Division I (Western Illinois University) and Division II (Truman State University) representatives.

Sophomore Brennan McGlauchlen (Inver Grove Heights, MN, Simley) had personal-best efforts in both the shot put and the weight throw.  He finished seventh in the shot with a distance of 45' 8 1/2" to move up to ninth on the Knox top 10 all-time individual list in the event.  He added a weight throw of 41' 3 1/4" that ranks 10th on the all-time individual list.

Two men's sprinters recorded top 10 all-time individual list times.

Sophomore Sam Reading (Tennesse, IL, West Prairie) matched his career-best effort of 7.59 seconds in the 60 meter dash for #2 on the list.  Fellow sophomore Hamad Alizada (Denver, CO, Martin Luther King) improved his previous top time by finishing the 60 meter dash in 7.78 seconds.  He moved up to #5 on the list with his effort.

In addition, junior Jake Swider-Rogers (Chicago, IL, St. Ignatius) is second on both the all-time performance and individual lists with his 60 meter hurdles time of 10.42 seconds.

Sophomore Ezekiel Jere (Tema, Ghana, SOS- Hermann Gmeiner International), who twice this season ran top 10 times in the 800 meters, added his name to the mile as well.  He finished in 4:49.34 and owns the seventh-fastest time by an individual.

The Prairie Fire track and field teams have one more regular season meet before the Midwest Conference Championships.

Knox travels to Illinois College to take part in the IC Alumni Classic on February 21 at 6:00 p.m.
