BELOIT, Wisconsin—The Prairie Fire picked up a big win over Beloit on Sunday.

Knox (11-3-2, 4-2-2 MWC) put the game away early with two quick scores. 

Jen Crary (Mission Viejo, CA, Capistrano Valley) put the Prairie Fire on the board in the minute 16 in what would be the deciding goal of the match.

Kelsie Pos (Salt Lake City, UT, Skyline) followed with a goal of her own just three minutes later to add to the lead.

With a 2-0 advantage at halftime, the Prairie Fire had the game well under control. Sarah Texter (Redlands, CA, Redlands East Valley) added another goal for good measure and Knox picked up the 3-0 win. Kelsie Pos (Salt Lake City, UT, Skyline) picked up the assist on the final goal of the match.

Sierra Daniger (Colorado Springs, CO, Air Academy) notched three saves to achieve her fifth clean sheet of the year.

The win brought the Prairie Fire one step closer to a spot in the Midwest Conference tournament, holding the fourth spot in the standings with two games remaining.

Knox will travel to Monmouth on October 24 looking to cement their tournament bid.
