MONMOUTH, Illinois—The Prairie Fire dropped their final match of the season 1-3 at Monmouth.

Knox (10-17, 4-6 MWC) fought hard in the first two sets, coming out on top 26-24 and losing a nail-biter 24-26. The Prairie Fire ran out of gas and fell in each of the last two sets 13-25.

Casey Stachelski (Joliet, IL, Plainfield Central) finished with 27 assists to lead Knox.
Kyleigh Guthals (Clovis, NM, Clovis) added 11 kills and
Jakeiyah Triplett (Chicago, IL, Westinghouse) managed 23 digs.

With the 2015 season coming to a close, the Prairie Fire squad has a lot to be proud of. They battled all year long and finished with the most overall wins and the most conference wins since the 1995 season. They lose only two seniors, but both will be missed. Stachelski finished her career with 2,316 assists, the most in at least 20 years.
Ella Petersen (Wilmette, IL, Lake Forest Academy) only played one season, but she made it a good one, racking up 75 kills.
