GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire made one first-half goal stick as they defeated Ripon College.
Knox (9-1-2, 2-0-2 MWC) played to a 1-0 win with 2014 Midwest Conference finalists Ripon College, Knox's second win in conference play. The win kept their unbeaten conference record intact. The Prairie Fire scored in the 23rd minute when Kayla Brown (Roseville, CA, Wilton Christian) latched onto a through-ball from Yvette Rodriguez (Ontario, CA, Rancho Cucamonga) .
First-year goalkeeper Sierra Daniger (Colorado Springs, CO, Air Academy) kept her second clean sheet on the season in conference, making four saves.
Knox outshot Ripon 12 to 6 in a very clean game that saw no cautions.
Knox will look to continue their form at 11:00 a.m. Sunday versusLawrence University at Jorge Prats Field.
