GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire went on a second half scoring frenzy in their 6-0 rout of Cornell College.

Knox (12-4-2, 5-3-2 MWC) and their offensive attack netted five goals in the second half to earn a spot in the Midwest Conference tournament for the first time since 1995.

The first goal of the game came in the 24th minute off the foot of
Courtney Dramm (Henderson, NV, Coronado), assisted by
Bryssa Montez (Oceanside, CA, Mission Vista). Knox came out of halftime on fire, starting the scoring parade in the 46th minute with a goal by
Jessica Petersen (Brooklyn Park, MN, Champlin Park). Dramm added her second goal of the game shortly after.
Kelsie Pos (Salt Lake City, UT, Skyline) added two goals of her own in the 62nd and 66th minute.
Lara Ross (Denver, CO, Littleton) added a goal in the 64th minute, with an assist from
Jen Crary (Mission Viejo, CA, Capistrano Valley).
Yvette Rodriguez (Ontario, CA, Rancho Cucamonga) added two assists in the second half to aid the Prairie Fire scoring party.

Sierra Daniger (Colorado Springs, CO, Air Academy) faced only one shot on goal on the day, making the save to earn a shutout in goal.
The 12 wins sets a regular season record for wins in a season by the Prairie Fire.
