GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire dropped a game to Iowa Wesleyan 85-71 on Saturday.
Knox (1-1) fought back from a 13-point deficit in the first half to bring the game to within eight points at halftime. The Prairie Fire led by as many as 17 earlier in the first half. With 12 minutes to play in the second half, Knox pulled to within one of the Tigers. The game remained close until Iowa Wesleyan began pulling away with just a few minutes left in the game.
Caylab Herrera (Middletown, DE, Middletown) led all players with 29 points and 13 rebounds. He shot 10-for-18 from the floor.
Robert Suntken (Naperville, IL, Naperville Central) added 16 points, hitting two of his three attempts from long-range.
Knox will look to rebound on December 2 when they open conference play against Monmouth. The game will start at 5:30 p.m. in Memorial Gym.
