EUREKA, Illinois—The Prairie Fire won their fifth straight match, defeating Eureka 8-0, to improve to 6-1 on the season.
Kayla Brown (Roseville, CA, Wilton Christian)
put Knox on the board early with her eighth score of the season. She added another goal later in the first half.
The Prairie Fire led 3-0 at halftime before adding five more scores in the second half.
Alex Robertson (San Clemente, CA, San Clemente)
also found the net twice, one in each half.
Devan Griffin (Highlands Ranch, CO, Stem School)
tallied two assists.
Knox took a total of 53 shots (26 on goal) and allowed none.
The Prairie Fire will begin conference play on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with a home match against Grinnell.
