JACKSONVILLE, Illinois—The Prairie Fire defeated MacMurray in five sets on Wednesday.
Knox (4-10) dominated the first set, but came up just short in sets two and three. With their backs against the wall, the Prairie Fire fought back to win the last two sets.
Jakeiyah Triplett (Chicago, IL, Westinghouse) remained hot after a great performance over the weekend. She accumulated another 35 digs coming off 71 digs in her last four matches.
Rose Griffin (Maryland Heights, MO, Rosati-Kain) had 23 kills and
Casey Stachelski (Joliet, IL, Plainfield Central) finished with 46 assists.
Nicole Heckman (Chicago, IL, Chicago Latin) and
Kyleigh Guthals (Clovis, NM, Clovis) both added 11 kills.
Knox will return home this weekend with matches against Lake Forest College and Beloit College.
