GALESBURG, Illinois - Another dominant performance set the Prairie Fire women's soccer team up for a matchup on October 16th for a great chance to host the conference championship.

Undefeated Knox (14-0-1, 6-0-0 MWC) came into this matchup against Lake Forest looking for a convincing win. They did so with another shutout and a three goal win against the Foresters on homecoming.

The first half was back-and-forth between both teams until
Kayla Brown (Roseville, CA, Wilton Christian) broke the 0-0 tie in the 34th minute for her 14th goal of the season. Brown opened up the second half for her second goal of the game and 15th of the season to make the score 2-0 Fire. The goal was assisted by
Jen Crary (Mission Viejo, CA, Capistrano Valley). Later in the second half, the Fire sealed the game with a corner kick header goal by
Angelica Gamez (Pico River, CA, El Rancho), assisted off the foot of
Courtney Dramm (Henderson, NV, Coronado).

Sierra Daniger (Colorado Springs, CO, Air Academy) recorded her 13th shutout of the season, needing to only record one save.
The Fire will host Ripon on Sunday October 16, playing for a chance to host the conference tournament.
