GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire dropped a hard fought game against Lake Forest on Saturday afternoon.
Knox (1-18, 0-14 MWC) led 28-26 at halftime and led by as many as 14 points in the second half. The Prairie Fire held onto the lead until the Foresters hit a short jumper with just seconds remaining.
Caylab Herrera picked up a double-double to lead Knox in points (18) and rebounds (13). Braden Adams poured in 11 points and Deandre Weathersby added 10 of his own.
The Prairie Fire will travel to Carroll on February 9 to take on the Pioneers.
