MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin—The Prairie Fire women's soccer team defeated Lakeland 7-0 on Sunday to remain undefeated.
Knox (6-0) again held the opposition scoreless and has now played nine hours of scoreless soccer to begin the season.
Kayla Brown (Roseville, CA, Wilton Christian) got the scoring started just over a minute into play. She was assisted by
Jessica Petersen (Brooklyn Park, MN, Champlin Park). Brown returned the favor at the 11:00 mark when she assisted Petersen on a give-and-go.
Jen Crary (Mission Viejo, CA, Capistrano Valley),
Annie Peterson (Iowa City, IA, West),
Courtney Dramm (Henderson, NV, Coronado),
Corina Leyva (Tucson, AZ, Tucson Magnet), and
Alex Robertson (San Clemente, CA, San Clemente) all got in on the action as well.
Sierra Daniger (Colorado Springs, CO, Air Academy) and
Annie Gerdes (Frankfort, IL, Lincoln-Way East) shared duties in goal and combined for the shutout.
The Prairie Fire return home on September 17 when they host Fontbonne.
