GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's basketball team dropped a conference matchup to Cornell on Saturday afternoon.

Knox (1-10, 1-5 MWC) trailed 39-25 at halftime and the Rams used a 12-0 run to begin the second half to put the game out of reach early. The Prairie Fire battled throughout the rest of the second half, but could not make much headway to fall 73-43.

Deandre Weathersby (Chicago, IL, Kenwood Academy) led Knox with eight points and Jonathan Damota (Miami Springs, FL, Miami Springs) chipped in six points. Marko Protic (Niles, IL, Maine East) finished with five points and six rebounds.

Knox travels to Beloit and Lake Forest on January 13 and 14 to continue their conference season.
