GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire women's soccer team bounced back from their setback against IIT with a 3-0 victory over Millikin on Wednesday night.
Knox (8-5) got on the board early when Corina Leyva found an open Jessica Petersen for the score. The Prairie Fire led 1-0 at halftime, but quickly added on when Leyva scored a goal of her own in the first few minutes of the second half. Bryssa Montez sealed the win with a beautiful goal off of a free kick.
Knox outshot the Big Blue 10-3 and Sierra Daniger grabbed two saves in goal.
The Prairie Fire return to action as they host Grinnell on October 7.
