GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire volleyball team dropped a match to St. Norbert in three sets on Friday night.

Knox (9-12, 0-4 MWC) faced set point multiple times over all three sets, but the Green Knights would not go down without a fight.

In the first set, the Prairie Fire held a 26-25 lead before falling 30-28. In set two, Knox held a 16-9 lead and led until St. Norbert clawed back to a 22-22 tie. The Prairie Fire then led 24-23, but Green Knights went on to win the set 30-28 yet again. The third set was another back-and-forth affair and Knox led 24-23 before St. Norbert reeled off three straight points to clinch the match.

Jeanette Peebles had a terrific night for the Prairie Fire with eight kills and four blocks. KyLeigh Guthals racked up 22 digs and Emily Mosher added 27 assists.

Knox will look to bounce back as they host Lawrence on October 7.
