DE PERE, Wisconsin- The Prairie Fire women's basketball team came up on the wrong end of a hard fought battle with St. Norbert College.
 
Knox (3-1 0-1 MWC) saw their first loss of the season with their 65-61 loss to St. Norbert. The Prairie Fire scored first in the contest when Karlie Thorn hit a three-pointer in the first minute. The Green Knights tied the score at 5-5 at the 5:55 mark in the first quarter and then took lead less than a minute later. Knox never regainged the lead and trailed by six at halftime. The Prairie Fire battled to within a point early in the third quarter before falling even farther behind by the end of the quarter. Trailing 52-41 heading into the fourth quarter, Knox rallied back to within four before they ran out of time to complete their comeback.
 
Kyra Huffman led the scoring and rebound battle for the Fire recording a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Karlie Thorn added 11 points and Jarrelyn McCall and Hailey Leinart each added 10 of their own. Taliah Ellis was the facilitator in this game recording eight assists and adding seven points.
 
Knox will look to gain their first win in conference and get back to their winning ways when they take on Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin on December 2.
