APPLETON, Wisconsin- The Knox men's basketball team fell to 0-2 in Midwest Conference play to start the early part of the season with an 86-60 loss to Lawrence University. The Fire matched the Vikings in points in the second half in a valiant comeback attempt but Lawrence's hot start was too much for the Fire.
Jonathan Damota had a big day on offense with 21 points, adding three assists and four rebounds as well. Bryce Wilkinson brought some energy off the bench with 13 points in just 16 minutes of play. Marko Protic and Eric Pillath were responsible for cleaning up the boards with six and five rebounds, respectively.
Knox will look for their first win in conference play when they travel to rival Monmouth College on December 6.
