MONMOUTH, Illinois -The Prairie Fire women's basketball team earned their 3rd straight win over Monmouth College after an impressive 69-63 victory over the Scots. Knox (5-1, 2-1 MWC) trailed by five entering halftime, but held Monmouth to 15 points in the final two quarters to come out on top.
Morgan Potter, Jarrelyn McCall and Karlie Thorn all scored in double digits to lead the scoring effort for the Fire with 18, 17, and 15, respectively. McCall and Thorn both scored 10 of their points in the second half comeback effort. Potter also grabbed eight rebounds and McCall grabbed seven for herself.
The Fire will look to continue their success in the conference when the take on Ripon College at home on December 9.
