GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire women's basketball team was handed their first loss in conference play after a 72-62 loss in a battle against Ripon College. A 26-point third quarter helped propel the Red Hawks over the Fire to put Knox in a tie for second in the conference in the early part of the season.
Jarrelyn McCall gave her best effort to help the Fire win, putting up 18 points and grabbing five rebounds while dishing out four assists. Hailey Leinart also added 14 points with four rebounds and three assists. Morgan Potter finished with a double-double in this game as she put up 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Knox will take some time off from Midwest Conference play with their next game coming December 11 against Blackburn College.
