Box Score CARLINVILLE, Illinois—The Prairie Fire women's basketball team earned a 65-42 victory over Blackburn on Monday night.
Knox (6-2) stormed out to a 23-11 lead in the first quarter and held a 36-23 lead by halftime. The Prairie Fire added to their lead in the third quarter by outscoring the Beavers 20-11. Knox cruised to victory by winning the fourth quarter by a 9-8 margin. The Prairie Fire shot 52.9% from beyond the arc to gain the advantage with Blackburn shooting just 23.5% from three and 20.5% overall.
Jarrelyn McCall scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Knox. Hailey Leinart added 13 points, while Morgan Potter and Karlie Thorn each tallied 10 points.
Knox will host Robert Morris-Springfield on December 14 in their final home game until January.
