GALESBURG, Illinois— The Prairie Fire men's basketball team picked up a win over Beloit in front of the home crowd on Saturday afternoon.
Knox (2-19, 2-14 MWC) never trailed in the game and started pulling away midway through the first half to take a 37-26 lead at halftime. The Bucs narrowed their deficit early in the second half, but the Prairie Fire took control again and ran away to a 73-57 victory.
Jonathan Damota (Miami Springs, FL, Miami Springs) led Knox with 14 points on 5-of-9 from the floor.
George Mosialos (Larissa, Greece, Mpakogiannis) added 13 points and
Marko Protic (Niles, IL, Maine East) poured in 10 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
Knox hosts Grinnell College on February 14 to continue their homestand.
