GRINNELL, Iowa—The Prairie Fire men's basketball team had a quality scoring game after recent struggles in previous games. They netted 70 points for only the second time in the last six games, but it was not enough as the defense did not uphold their end of the bargain. Knox (1-19, 1-14 MWC) fell to Grinnell (13-7, 6-9 MWC) in Grinnell, Iowa.
Jonathan Damota (Miami Springs, FL, Miami Springs) led the scoring for the Fire with 15 points and a team-high six rebounds.
Jacob Kampf (Chesterfield, MO, Barat Academy) and
Jeremiah Horton (Oak Park, IL, Oak Park River Forest) added 10 points apiece.
DJ Lewis (Chino Hills, CA, Chino Hills) netted eight points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out three assists.
Knox will have a final three-game home stand to end the season starting on February 11 when they take on Beloit College.
