GALESBURG, Illinois— It does not get much more dominant than a 10-0 win in the conference opener, and that's just how the Prairie Fire women's soccer team handled business against Lawrence University.
The first half was relatively low scoring, the Fire went into halftime up "only" 3-0. Goals in the first half came from Kayla Brown, Briana Quintana and Jessica Petersen. Alex Robertson got the party started in the second half scoring two goals in 35 seconds, Robertson was the only member of the Fire with more than one goal on the day. The Fire were moving the ball well and more than willing to share the scoring. Goals were scored by Melissa London, Sydney Fretwell, Hannah Lewis, Jacqui Tousley, and Bre Moreira. The Fire had 14 players with a point in this match as Angelica Gamez, Yvette Rodriguez, Bryssa Montez, Brooklyn Deming, and Courtney Dramm all added assists.
With this win, Knox has now won their third consecutive match and will look to continue winning when they take on Beloit at home on September 24.
