INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Prairie Fire women's soccer team won their fifth straight game with a 1-0 victory over Simpson College on Wednesday night.
Knox (6-4) and the Storm played to a scoreless tie through the first half, but Corina Leyva put the Prairie Fire on the board in the 60th minute with a high-arching goal just out of the Simpson goalie's grasp.
Knox outshot the Storm 23-4 and did not allow a shot on goal all night.
The Prairie Fire will look to extend their winning streak when they travel to Monmouth on September 30.
