GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire volleyball team earned their first win of the season on Tuesday night against Eureka, just days after the football team defeated the Red Devils.
 
Knox (1-4) cruised through the first two sets winning 25-12 and 25-20. Eureka fought back and took early leads in the third and fourth sets to force a deciding fifth set. The teams fought back-and-forth with ties at nine through 15 all, but the Prairie Fire scored the final two points to win 17-15.
 
Rose Griffin led Knox with 17 kills and added 10 digs for good measure. Kyleigh Guthals tallied 11 kills and 18 digs. Emily Mosher managed 41 assists and Mady Ferris finished with 28 digs.
 
The Prairie Fire will travel to Minneapolis September 8 and 9 to compete in a tournament at Macalester.
