Volleyball Rolls Through Beloit in Three Sets

Box Score GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire volleyball team soundly defeated Beloit on Saturday for Homecoming.
 
Knox defeated the Buccaneers in three sets, 25-14, 25-13, 25-17 to pick up their first conference victory of the season.
 
Marissa Akers led the Prairie Fire with six kills. "I am thankful that we finished such an important weekend with a conference win," said Akers. "I hope this carries us to a final week full of excitement, hard work, and two wins. I am proud of all the Knox teams for all around taking a win."
 
Kylie Wolf also racked up 19 assists and Mady Ferris picked up 17 digs. Autumn Schneider added five kills and a pair of solo blocks.
 
"It was great to see our team play so well together today," said Kaitlyn Haase. "Everything finally clicked and it was exciting to get our first conference win, especially with all of the team parents that were here to see it."
 
Knox concludes their season this week as they travel to Lincoln on October 23 and Monmouth on October 26.
