Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FORT MYERS, Florida—The Prairie Fire softball team went 1-1 on the third day of the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic.
 
Knox (4-6) defeated UW Superior 6-0 in their opening game.  However, the Prairie Fire were defeated by North Central College 10-2 to close out their third day of games at the GCCC.
 
Knox opened the scoring first putting up a 4 run 4^th inning.  The Prairie Fire would tack on 2 more runs with a 1 run 5^th and 6^th inning.  The Prairie Fire held UW-Superior scoreless for the entirety to collect a 6-0 win.
 
The second game saw the Prairie Fire take on North Central College.  Knox fell behind in the 3^rd 2-0 and North Central quickly added to their lead with an 8 run 4^th.  Knox got 2 runs back in the bottom half of 4^th but the rally fell short as North Central went on to beat the Prairie Fire 10-2.
 
Clare Hensley reached base 4 times with 2 RBIs.  Tegan Doherty pitched a 7 inning shutout with 5 strike outs to collect her fourth win of the season.
 
The Prairie Fire will take on North Central College and UW- Superior on Sunday to close out eight game stint in Florida.
