GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire volleyball team lost to Illinois College 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

Knox took the first set 25-21, but the Lady Blues won the next two sets 25-22 and 25-20. The Prairie Fire would not go down without a fight and won the fourth set 25-22. Illinois College took the final set 15-7 to claim the victory.

Catessa Duran led Knox with 20 kills and four blocks. Katie Anderson racked up 46 assists, 18 digs, and three aces. Caroline Wolters added 10 kills.

"We went to the wire with a very good IC team," said head coach Pat Barry. "We know we could have got the win today and I hope that knowledge and a renewed focus will bring us some big wins over the next few weeks."

The Prairie Fire travel to Monmouth on October 13.
