2021 Men's Soccer Preview

GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's soccer team begins a new season on September 1 with the goal of making the Midwest Conference (MWC) Tournament for the eighth consecutive year.
 
Knox took first in regular season play during the 2019 season earning the opportunity to host the MWC Tournament. The Prairie Fire finished the season at 15-4-2 (8-1 MWC).
 
Head coach Brian O'Connor said, "We are excited to be back after the long layoff. We have a good mix of youth and experience along with an incredibly tough schedule. I'm looking forward to seeing how this group responds."
 
Knox returns one 2019 first-team All-MWC defender Raleigh Berry. In addition to Berry, Knox also returns 2019 defensive standouts like Lucas Piqueras and Michal Pavlik. The team returns many starters and players who contributed greatly to the 2019 season, including seniors Joey Dorgan Jr., Raphael Adeyemi, and Martin Garcia. 
 
Knox will again face a strong non-conference schedule beginning with Dominican University. The Prairie Fire will also square off against Midwest stalwarts Wartburg, Luther, and North Park in the first few weeks.
