GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with Cornell on Monday afternoon.
The Rams outshot Knox 5-3 in the first half as the teams looked evenly matched.
Cornell shot five times in the second half, while the Prairie Fire managed four. Overall, the teams shot five shots on goal apiece.
Brianna Dietz fired off five shots for Knox, including three shots on goal.
Carina Escobar picked up her third shutout of the season in goal with five saves.
"We played pretty evenly with Cornell," said head coach Rob Battisson. "We probably should have put a few more shots on goal, but we definitely had our chances. Our defense continues to play well."
The Prairie Fire return to action as they travel to Ripon on October 15.
