ROCK ISLAND, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's golf team competed at Augustana on Friday and Saturday.
The two Knox teams finished 15th and 23rd in a field of 25 teams.
Eddie Brees paced the Prairie Fire with a two round score of 151 to tie for 23rd overall out of 138.
Patrick Mattar finished just one stroke behind Brees with 152 strokes over the two day event.
"We played better today, but had too many mental mistakes that cost us at the end," said head coach KC Harding. "I was very proud of Eddie for leading us this week in a very talented field. We will be working hard on the iron game this week in preparation for our last event before the conference championship."
The Prairie Fire travel to Illinois College on April 15 and 16 for their final tuneup before the SLIACÂ Tournament on April 25 and 26.
