CHICAGO, Illinois - The Prairie Fire women's soccer fell to No. 19 University of Chicago 5-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Maroons scored in the second minute of the game to take an early lead. Chicago added another goal in the 24th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

The Maroons added three more goals in the second half to cruise to victory.

Chicago outshot Knox 39-0 overall, including a 13-0 edge in shots on goal.

"This is the second game in a row that we have played against a nationally ranked team," said head coach Rob Battisson. "We have played better the last few games, especially on defense. Our early schedule has been extremely tough, but we look forward to beginning conference play."

The Prairie Fire return to action on September 28 as they travel to Grinnell for their conference opener.
