Men's Basketball Wins Third in Their Last Four Games

GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's basketball team hosted the Grinnell College Pioneers in a high scoring battle of Midwest Conference teams.

Grinnell came out to warm ups wearing a shooting shirt that said "3>2" and they really stood by that as they shot 51 treys, but the high powered Knox offense stuck with them and battled out an amazing 101-95 win. They have now won three of their last four games.

Cade Windham was the leading scorer with 23 points, while also tallying seven assists and six rebounds. The other two top scorers were Russell Wright with 21 and Sean Gallery with 20. Wright was throwing down dunk after dunk it seemed like with the Grinnell press leaving him free at the end of the court.

"Grinnell is always a tough matchup with their style of play," said head coach Ben Davis. "We did a good job of sticking to our game plan most of the game and we were able to hold on for the victory."

The Prairie Fire host Monmouth College in their next game on Saturday and that will definitely be a great game between two bitter rivals who always show up on the court for bragging rights.
